Gina's Profile

Health and Wellness is a lifelong passion for me, starting my career in General and Psychiatric Nursing having spent over 10 years working in family and child guidance work. While working as a nurse I developed a strong interest in the natural health and the core principles of natural health. Consequently, I went on to study Osteopathy, completing my training in 2001.

When I qualified as an Osteopath I began working with mothers and babies, setting up support and information groups for parents while also running an osteopathic practice in Dublin. I have a particular interest in autoimmune dysfunction in children. In relation to this I give talks about health and wellness with ‘Gutsy Kids’, a support group for parents of children with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) which is Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Over time my interest veered more towards the field of cranial work and the study and practice of Biodynamics. This led to my training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in 2012. I have also studied the modules set up by Jim Jealous in the field of Biodynamic Osteopathy.

I am passionate in making this gentle and very effective work more available to others. So I work as a tutor with Body Intelligence training - A Biodynamic Craniosacral Course in Dublin. This is a foundation course to become a biodynamic craniosacral therapist. For my own continuous professional development I am completing a 3 year Paediatric diploma course in Osteopathy right now and loving it! At the moment I hold the position of honorary secretary with the Irish Osteopathic Council of Ireland. Currently I work two clinics, one in Dublin and another  in Clonmel treating adults as well as children and I run health and wellness events in Dublin and across Ireland.

When I'm not working I love being with my family and soaking up the wild and wonderful beauty of the west of Ireland. I also enjoy meditation and Argentinian Tango and practice both as much as possible!

If you have any queries and want to talk further on any aspects of this work don’t hesitate to get in touch, I would be happy to talk with you.
